Car Hire Questions and Answers

What makes Your Car Hire different from other car hire brokers?

Our main USP is our service. Your Car Hire only uses tried and tested suppliers that give the kind of service that is expected by our clients. Any special requests such as GPS, baby and child seats etc. are checked with the supplier 48 hours prior to the pick up to make sure that these items have been reserved. Deliveries/collections to/from accommodation are also double checked with the supplier to ensure a hassle free experience.

What's included in the cost of my car hire?

All cars hired through Your Car Hire Limited are covered by collision damage waiver with excess, third party insurance, unlimited mileage unless otherwise stated, theft waiver, airport fees and all local taxes excluding any extras purchased locally. Personal accident insurance isn’t covered but should be included in your client’s holiday insurance. Please ask them to check their policy.

What extras do I have to pay locally?

Special requests such as baby/child seats, GPS, ski rack or chains, winter tyres etc are always payable locally in the local currency and will always be plus the local tax. One way fees and delivery fees will also be paid locally.

Is the insurance on the car hire fully comprehensive?

With all our car rental partners, your client will be required to leave a deposit when collecting their vehicle, to cover the Collision Damage Waiver excess and any exclusions on the insurance such as damage to tyres, windscreen and windows, wing mirrors, undercarriage, clutch, roof, interior, any damage to the locks and any towing charges or loss of keys.
If the vehicle is damaged during your hire, this amount is retained by the local car hire company to cover the cost of repair. If, however, your client has opted to take out our Tyre and Glass Waiver (DEW) or Super Damage Excess Waiver (SDEW), then this may be reclaimable as per the instructions below.

How does the SDEW policy work?

Our SDEW policy works like this; You must have sufficient funds to cover the excess deposit on your credit card at the start of the hire. If the car is damaged or stolen the supplier will retain the excess deposit to cover the cost of the damage but you can then reclaim this back from us on your return. The SDEW does not waive the need to leave the local deposit. If you do not produce a credit card at the start of the hire with sufficient funds to cover the excess deposit you may be refused the car completely or you may be forced to take out the suppliers own excess cover locally which is non refundable.

How does the DEW policy work?

Our DEW policy works like this; You must have sufficient funds to cover the excess deposit on your credit card at the start of the hire. If the car is damaged or stolen the supplier will retain the excess deposit to cover the cost of the damage. The DEW enables you to recover the cost of damage to tyres and glass only from us on your return and does not waive the need to leave the local deposit. If you do not produce a credit card at the start of the hire with sufficient funds to cover the excess deposit you may be refused the car completely or you may be forced to take out the suppliers own excess cover locally which is non refundable.
